I'll take my chances
So the Mega-Millions Lottery is up to an estimated $308million for Fridays drawing. The cash options is a mere $134million...but I passed the word on to Mama Bear and we will have a couple of tickets purchased tomorrow. I know the chances are slim to none...but I know for a fact if We dont play we have absolutely zero chance- so I will drop a couple of bucks and dare to dream of a life on easy street if we happen to when..hell even if we have to share it with a couple of people. Wish us luck cuz Big Daddy done gots some plans!! I will post if we win....who am I kidding- I will post if I don't too! -Big Daddy Out!

Anniversary
On this date 9 years ago I was fortunate enough to marry the most amazing woman. She was, is and always will be "everything" to me. She truly is my best friend, my lover and the person that I long to spend time with. We enjoy the most simple of things...We never have enough money, time off or time to do all of the things we want to get done..but there is nobody that I would want to share the "struggles" of life with. We got a baby sitter and I am taking her out to dinner on Saturday night! I'm pretty excited because "we" get to eat a hot meal, have an uninterupted conversation, an adult beverage and some much needed "us" time. Happy Anniversary Baby Doll! I love you to the moon and back!!!!

E'erybody DOESN'T Love Raymond
So I have days off during the week...so you say, "you're so lucky" "that's very cool" "I wish I did"...little word for ya'.....most days it SUCKS! I like it if I have something to do, some place to go or money to spend. The rest of the time it sucks! I spend the day by myself doing house cleaning, laundry, dusting, etc. I finish that and decide to watch some TV...not a whole lot on during daytime TV..it sucks completely. WTBS is the only station that has a few decent shows on. With that being said, from early morning they put "Everybody Loves Raymond" on every hour...they run a decent show, "Raymond, decent show, "Raymond" "Raymond", decent show "Raymond" and so on through the whole day. They use to run a couple of episodes of "King Of Queens" at 2pm...later moved to 3pm, later to 4pm, then to 5pm..and NOW at 6pm (just in time for the family to get home)..in the mean time thay have thrown in EVEN MORE "Raymond" episodes in between! EERRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGG!!!! DEAR WTBS- NOT E'ERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND!!!!!!! Fix it you morons!!!!!

Valentine's Day
Today is the "magic day of love", but if everybody had the kind of relationship that I have with my wife we wouldnt limit it to one specific day. I am in love and show love to my bride everyday...so for us I guess today is just another day. I'm blessed, I'm lucky and I don't need one specific day. So to my wife, I love you today as I do everyday.... :)

Who made you queen of anything??!!
Alright, it is about time it was said out loud because I know that I can't be the only one thinking it. When we elect a president, regardless of democrat or republican please tell me why in the hell the first lady has to put her nose in anything/everything. I know as the wife (or husband) of the president that you have a obligation to support your spouse, stand behind them and that you are visible to the public. But for the love of God please remember that the people didn't elect you to ANYTHING! Case and point- Michelle Obama is trying to get the restaurants to serve smaller portions claiming obesity...#1 Have you seen Michelle? You could put a months worth of supplies in her saddle bags!..#2 It's not up to the restaurants to keep me from eating! #3 I'm eating and I want my moneys worth!! So if anybody from the restaurant industry sees this post...MICHELLE OBAMA DOES NOT SPEAK FOR ME!!!!!! Pile on the food..I will eat until I'm full, leave a nice tip and pay my bill. If I gain 10 pounds from your excellent grub, it's on me (in more ways then one!). Now, it may seem that I am picking on Michelle, and perhaps I am, because I don't like her or her inexperienced husband, but that's a whole other post....but this has been an ongoing problem with all of the first ladies. Support your husband, absolutely...be a role model, absolutely. Have your cause (if you had it prior to his being elected-absolutely)..but get all up in my business AFTER he's elected? NO! Stay outta my business!
Bottom line? I don't need the government trying to determine what's best for me. I'm free to make the choice myself. Quit trying to govern every aspect of our lives! But out!!!

Wal-Mart Solicitors Piss Me Off!

Ok, ok..in the great scheme of things it's not a big deal...it is however something that has pissed me off for a while now. People, organizations, charities etc setting up in the entrance of WalMart to harass me to buy, donate or volunteer for something. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!! If I want it, I'll find you. I go to WalMart to shop. Stuff for me! If you absolutely have to be there, put up a sign and let me come to you. I don't want to have to enter through the garden center or exit that way- I want you to go away! You have no reason to be here. Here is a novel concept that has diminished over the years.."offer a service, do something to earn the money!!"...a carwash, a bbq, a carnival, community awareness cleanup...DO SOMETHING! You simply sit on your ass in front of WalMart and expect me to GIVE you something. Hell, maybe I'm the messed up one cuz the loser in the white house feels the same way..."sit on your asses, the gov't will provide..as long as we got a few workin'..we will take from them and give to you."....I'm seein a flaw in the system. Oh, well, I won't change the world, but I did vent. So on a final note to Wal-Mart, "MAKE 'EM LEAVE!!!!!!!!" I know I'm not the only one that feels this way! C'mon man! You're about 1/2 STEP ABOVE THE PANHANDLERS!!!!

Snow Day

Well, all week people around (other cities) have been getting snow days. I was beginning to think that I was going to get ripped off and not get mine. So, today was my regularly scheduled day off..and we get...wait for it....A SNOW DAY! I'm not complaining, in fact I'm ecstatic! I was able to cook breakfast for the family while the wife built a fire in the fireplace! It has been an awesome day so far.
So as it has been cold all week I decided that I needed to take a few photos.
Now in Texas we don't get enough snow to do much of anything with. No sleds, giant snowmen, awesome snowball fights, etc but it was still pretty neat to look out at our street and see a fresh coat of white powder...untouched, if only for a bit by tire tracks, foot prints, etc. I was able to venture out and take a handful of pictures before getting really cold, wussing out and headed back in to warm me bum by the fire.
We had planned on heading to Ft. Worth to see my Dad, but as the weather got bad our plans have changed. Once again, I'm completely okay with that. But here's my wish...snow some more tonight, snow us in all weekend! I wanna spend the whole weekend inside...watching movies, eating, looking at the fire and going nowhere fast or even at all....Now part of me would like to jump on the 4 wheeler and tear up the snow..an idea that would fade faster then Jen Anistons latest hair-do as soon as the frigid air hit my rugged yet sensitive baby face.
Seeing how this is Texas, it's probably a dream that won't happen. It will be in the 60's again before Sunday..and understand 60 works well for me...cuz I definately ain't ready for the 110 degree summer Texas heat that will be here again before I can blink.
Either way I am taking it for what it's worth and going to enjoy it.
Have a good Super Bowl weekend. I will be watching but really don't care who wins. But I guess I will root for the Steelers and Big Ben...for no other reason than "just 'cuz"...Be safe all and don't forget TEXANS can't drive on ice/snow and if you think you're a TEXAN that can..you could not be more wrong!!!

Let's give this a whirl
Well, with the new year I have decided to venture out into something different. This blog will be different from some. Why? You ask...because it will be about nothing..and everything all at the same time. I will be blogging on any and everything from my love of Monster Trucks, ATV's and other 4X4's to food, music, movies, kids, dogs, guns, work, vacations and any other mindless babble that creeps into my mind. The best part is it's for me! I can say and do just about anything that I want. It's all mine...from the opinions expressed to the topics to the goofy sense of humor that really is (at the end of the day) only understood by my best friend {a.k.a.- my wife}. This blog is intended to entertain. Feel free to read it, comment on it. But, FYI- personal attacks on me or others who choose to comment will be deleted. I'm not infringing on your right to "free speech"...but you won't be infringing on my right to delete your comments either. After all..it's my blog and my page.
It is my hope that you will laugh a lot. Find some "familiar" situations, hell, maybe even shed a tear. But most of all, simply be entertained.
I'm sure that I am suppose to put some sort of disclaimer at the end of this thing about "not trying this at home" or "the following are performed by or under the direction of professionals"..but from past experience I have learned that bad decisions usually make for the best stories. So rock on and enjoy!
